Tigray Art Collective Wa’ela Exhibition, May 27-29 2022, Chicago, IL
Tigray Art Collective brings together artists who tell the true stories of Tigray. Founded by Mahder Tella and Gabrielle Tesfaye, the two artists dreamt of ways a connected home of artists could make a creative impact and amplify awareness about the Tigray genocide. Weaving together a community of Tigrayan creators, we use art as an effective instrument of advocacy, inspire healing, and innovate creative realities for Tigray.
The collective will be bringing the community together across three days at The Martin. Join us for any exhibition windows and for the film screening on Saturday night - all free of charge. All artwork will be available for purchase through the collective to help support the crisis in Tigray.
